Paperclip Worship is the first recording of songs that are coming out of the DIVE Creative School experience. During the third year of DIVE’s success as a worship and creative arts school, 8 female students were gathered and brought into the studio to record what God was giving them in songs. I believed in them and their sound. We hit some production bumps and set backs, and what we were left with in tracks was handed over to Jason Halbert in Nashville who mixed the songs in their imperfection. I debated about whether to release them until we could record all over but limited finances made that impossible. Listening to the tracks in their raw organic state, I realized that these songs, needed to be heard regardless of their flaws.
I call it Paperclip Worship with the image in mind that when things are paper-clipped together, it is easy to pull them apart to share. From our first single I’m Okay to Jasmine Gibbs song Crave, Paperclip is an eclectic collection of these amazing upcoming artists and worship leaders that have come through the DIVE School.
